An egg requires parents of opposite genders. Passive skills and stats are inherited separately and do not change the child's species.
How it works

Two ways to plan a breeding route

You know the parents

Choose a pair to see the child immediately, along with whether the result used a special recipe or the rank formula.

You know the target

Select the Pal you want and reverse search will find every pair that produces it.

Verified rules

Special combinations and current ranks come from the Palworld 1.0 data build; names are never matched by guesswork.

How is the child chosen for a standard pair?

The game averages the parents' hidden breeding ranks and selects the nearest Pal that is eligible as a standard result.

Why can a special recipe differ from the rank formula?

Special recipes are stored separately in the game data and always take priority over the standard formula.

Can two identical parents produce the same Pal?

Yes. Two Pals of the same species produce that species when the parents are opposite genders.
